  • By far, the best Indian food we’ve had in years! Beautiful presentation and combination of flavors! The service was spectacular and the location perfect! The local artist works against the brick walls was beautiful spreading a vibe of community and tradition, a must do in Chapel Hill.

  • Love love love love love Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe! This is my favorite all time Indian spot in NC!! I bring all my friends, family and business associates here, and my little pup (nice outdoor space). The food is outstanding, fresh, locally sourced, clean, they use only healthy oils, and the staff are the best!

  • Vimala offers a beautiful space to enjoy a wide array of locally sourced dishes that are made to order. A true sanctuary in Chapel Hill to create memories with your friends / family while enjoying delicious food, beverages, and desserts. Highly recommended.

  • If i could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. Vimala herself has come to the table-side to visit and strike up conversation multiple times, and the food is incredible. I've lived in Chapel Hill for years and this is my favorite restaurant here by far.

  • Went all the way from Holly Springs to this place for authentic Indian food specially from Kerala . We were more than satisfied with the food, ambience and service. Were able to interact with the owner Vimla ji. Would not hesitate to recommend the place to friends, and love to revisit .

  • Vimala cares & strives to provide the best dining experience for all. Make sure you take time to know your host & all they offer at Vimala's. You will be grateful you came to Curryblossom Cafe! Did I mention it's great homecooked Indian food.

  • I miss the food I had in South India, and this is the go-to spot for me! Vimala has a heart for food and her community like no other. For the fourteen yeras she has been in business, she offers "everyone eats" plates for people who cannot afford food. She cares for her workers and makes some of the best meals around these parts! A win, win, win. Dining here is supporting a fixture in our community. She's also incredible with dietary restrictions. She makes delicious vegan and gluten free meals featuring food from local farms. If you are new to indian food, the front of house staff are very friendly and happy to make recommendations and explain dishes.

  • This is hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in the chapel hill area, I’ve been coming here since I was very young. It’s owned by a couple who make you feel very at home, like they are extending their family to you and you’re having a family meal. The staff has also always been very nice and helpful. I love their vegetarian curry plates as well as their cheese dosas. Although, the price has increased recently, I understand and continue to come back and support this lovely restaurant. If I ever move away this place will surely be missed.

  • We tried this restaurant 2 years ago when my youngest son started PA school at UNC. Last night he graduated (YAY!!!) and we returned to this wonderful place to celebrate. It did not disappoint. Vimala is as delightful as ever - the food is exquisite and the atmosphere festive and fun. We simply asked her to bring us whatever she thought we would enjoy and after asking us for a few preferences provided us with a savory feast of flavors. It was EXCEPTIONAL dining, and we all agreed that it was everything we hoped for for our special evening of celebration. Thank you to Vimala, her kind husband and a very pleasant staff. Out advice? Go there OFTEN! You won't regret it!

  • We love Vimala and the Curryblossom Cafe! When Vimala cooks, everyone eats - Vimala is beyond generous and cooks with love. We had the honor and privilege to work with her in her home and at the beginning of the restaurant. She has supported many local organizations, including the Orange County Rape Crisis Center, with fundraisers and food. She is friends with and supports local farmers and you can feel good about the food you buy and consume there. There are many vegan & gluten free options. My kids absolutely love the lassi, appam and fried okra! Vimala catered our wedding and it was a magnificent feast (a southern style pig-picking - she can cook anything you desire!) - we still get compliments on it many years later and every anniversary, my partner dreams of eating more of the delicious maple cake Anjali made.

  • I love this place! The food was well presented, and absolutely delicious! You can taste that the food was made from scratch from the freshness of the spices, giving it a home made feel! The staff were very pleasant and we were lucky to sample some other dishes on the menu. There are gluten free options too. Excited to go back and try more dishes!
